    Your arrival. Transfer to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel. Free time. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 2 Day 2 - Phnom Penh

    A guide + a driver 8:00 AM: Meet at the hotel reception. Departure for a visit to the Royal Palace, relocated from the former capital of Oudong in 1863; visit of the Silver Pagoda (more than 5,000 silver tiles cover the floor), home to the 90 kg gold Maitreya Buddha statue. Visit of the Central Market, renovated with a donation from France. You will continue with a visit to Ounalom Pagoda, built in 1443, the most important pagoda in Phnom Penh.

    Afternoon Phnom Penh
    In the afternoon, after breakfast, cross by ferry over the Tonle Sap river. You take a stroll on Silk Island (Koh Dach), which owes its nickname to the many weavers who work at silk weaving beneath the stilts of their wooden houses. Visit Wat Phnom (the Pagoda on the Hill), renovated in 1926. At the foot of the hill stands a bas-relief honoring the Franco-Siamese treaty, sculpted by Theodore Riviere.

    In the evening, a small private boat cruise along the riverbanks and towards the Chroy Changvar peninsula (depending on the weather and time, sunset over the Royal Palace). Overnight in Phnom Penh.

    A driver Departure from Phnom Penh in the morning 1. Tonle Bati - visit of a temple You stop by the lakeside. The guide takes you to visit a single temple: Ta Prohm of Tonle Bati (not Prasat Neang Khmau). It is a small, well-preserved brick temple in Angkorian style, located within the Tonle Bati complex. 2. Phnom Chiso You climb a pre-Angkorian temple perched on a hill. The view from the summit over the rice fields is beautiful. It is less well-known than Tonle Bati, and therefore quieter. 3. The road to Takeo, then Angsome After Phnom Chiso, you take the road that crosses Takeo province. You pass through villages, fields, and small local markets. You cross or pass near the village called Angsome (on the road between Takeo and Kampot). 4. Arrival in Kampot - overnight stay You arrive in Kampot in the early afternoon. Check-in at the hotel.     A driver 8:30 AM: meet at the hotel reception. Headed to Kep, visit of the pepper plantations and pepper shop, about 2 hours, followed by a boat exploration of the Mangrove forest. Lunch on your own. Visit the Crab Market and a walk to Kep Beach and Kampong Trach Cave. Overnight in Kampot
Day 5 Day 5 - Kampot - Kampong Chhnang

    Departure from Kampot in the morning After about 2 hours on the road, arrival at Puthkiri Pagoda (84,000 Buddha statues) - Located in Takeo province, along the way. - A modern pagoda known for its 84,000 Buddha statues (small and large). - It is an important pilgrimage site in Cambodia. - A peaceful and impressive visit. Afterwards, visit the ancient capital of Oudong (Udong) - Former royal capital of Cambodia (17th - 19th century). - Visit of a main pagoda on the hill (e.g. Wat Oudong or Wat Phnom Udong). - Beautiful views over the surrounding plain. - The guide explains the history predating the capital Phnom Penh. - Arrival in Kampong Chhnang in the late afternoon. - Visit of the town center. - A walk or stop by the Tonle Sap lake (the lake is right next to the town). - You will see the local atmosphere, the stilt houses, and the fishermen's boats. Overnight in Kampong Chhnang
Day 6 Day 6 - Kampong Chhnang - Battambang

    Meeting time: 8:30 AM, heading towards Battambang. Along the way, visit the floating village of Kampong Loung in Kra Kor, located in Pursat Province. Arrival in Battambang: visit of a traditional house in Wat Kor village, built during the colonial era. This house belongs to the third generation of the same family. The owner is a former schoolteacher trained under the colonial regime. Then head to Phnom Sampeou (16 km from Battambang). Atop a limestone hill stands a complex of temples inhabited by monkeys. The view over the surrounding plains is magnificent.

    In the evening: watch the bats emerge from the cave at nightfall - an impressive spectacle.
Day 7 Day 7 - Battambang

    A guide + a driver 8:00 AM: meeting at the hotel - Visit of the Central Market, very lively and colorful. - Then head to Wat Samroung Knong: an old pagoda built in 1707, beautifully decorated with fine woodwork. Behind it lies the former children's mass grave, a poignant reminder of the Khmer Rouge era. Optional activities depending on time available: - Making rice cakes and tasting krolann (sticky rice cake cooked in bamboo) - Prahoc market (fermented fish) - Ek Phnom Temple (Angkorian period) - Vat Damrei Sa Pagoda (early 20th century) with beautiful bas-reliefs - A ride on the bamboo train along a former railway line

    Afternoon Battambang
    Afternoon: visit of Prasat Banon (Banon Hill). You need to climb 368 steps, but the panoramic view over the surrounding countryside is magnificent. Overnight in Battambang.
Day 8 Day 8 - Battambang - Siem Reap

    Meeting at 8:30 AM, the road to Siem Reap, about 3 hours. Before arrival, visit: the silk farm, the West Baray dating from the 11th century, and a workshop, Senteurs d'Angkor. Lunch on your own. Visit of Siem Reap town center. Late afternoon check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.

    Afternoon: continuation of your visit to the wonderful Angkor Wat temple, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Afterwards, return to and overnight at the hotel in Siem Reap.

    Guide and driver Along the 40 km route, you pass through Pradak village, well known for the production of Thnot (palm) sugar - an exceptional Cambodian specialty. An opportunity to see the Cambodian countryside dotted with palm trees. Discovery of Banteay Srei temple (the Citadel of the Women), dedicated to Shiva, whose architecture and pink sandstone carvings feature a series of beautiful sculptures.     Afternoon Siem Reap - Ta Prohm - Pradak Village - Banteay Srei (B)
    In the afternoon you will visit Ta Prohm temple, part of the "Small Circuit", where gigantic trees tower over this monastery, their impressive roots gripping the ruins the way giant octopuses would wrap their tentacles around their prey.
Day 11 Day 11 - Siem Reap - Beng Mealea - the Roluos Group

    Morning Siem Reap - Beng Mealea - the Roluos Group
    Breakfast Heading to Beng Mealea, the 'blueprint' of Angkor. Visit of this jungle-covered temple, built 30 years before Angkor Wat, where scenes from the film 'Two Brothers' by Jean-Jacques Annaud were shot in 2004. On the way back, visit the Roluos Group: Lolei temple, Preah Ko temple, and the Bakong pyramid temple. Overnight at the hotel
Day 12 Day 12 - Phnom Kulen

    Phnom Kulen National Park is located 60 km from downtown Siem Reap; it takes about 1.5 hours by car to reach the National Park. This not-to-be-missed site is full of wonders. There you will discover the majestic waterfalls of the Siem Reap River, which has its source within the park. Take the opportunity to pay your respects at a giant reclining Buddha before heading to the local market and walking along the 247 m stretch of the river, where you'll find fields of a thousand linga carvings in the water. It is a magnificent place.
Day 13 Day 13 - Kampong Kleang Village

    At 8:00 AM, departure for Kampong Khleang village, located about 50 km from Siem Reap. The village's roughly ten thousand inhabitants live almost exclusively from fishing. You will explore the canals (in the rainy season) and the streets (in the dry season) of this incredible floating town. During the wet season, the houses appear to rest on the lake, with the water lapping at the doorsteps, but in the dry season, the towering stilts emerge, revealing a unique landscape of wooden skyscrapers. There you will visit a pagoda, built on the site of an ancient temple, and discover lovely mural paintings. You will then continue by boat and stop at one of the village houses to learn more about the lives of the fishermen of the largest lake in Southeast Asia.
