1Morning 08:00 Angkor Thom and Ta ProhmAfter breakfast at your hotel, departure at 8:00 AM for an exceptional first discovery of the Angkor site. The morning begins with Angkor Thom, the former great royal Khmer city. You will arrive through the famous South Gate and enjoy an original discovery by tuk-tuk and bicycle through this historic site. You will visit the mysterious Bayon temple, famous for its 54 towers decorated with smiling faces representing compassion and wisdom. Continue with the Baphuon, the ancient temple-mountain restored with the help of the EFEO, then discover the Royal Palace, the Terrace of the Leper King, and the Terrace of the Elephants, the former site of royal ceremonies. After visiting Angkor Thom, depart by tuk-tuk for Ta Prohm temple, made famous by its huge trees that embrace the ancient stones and its appearance in the film Tomb Raider.

This jewel of Khmer art, built in pink sandstone and dedicated to Shiva, is renowned for the exceptional delicacy of its carvings. Continue to Banteay Samre, a beautifully restored ancient temple that offers a glimpse of what the temples of Angkor once looked like.

1Morning 08:00 Kampong KhleangDeparture at 8:00 AM for Kampong Khleang, located about 50 km from Siem Reap. This traditional village, home to several thousand inhabitants living mainly from fishing, offers an authentic immersion into daily Cambodian life. Depending on the season, you will explore the canals by boat during the high-water period or the impressive stilt houses during the dry season. The large wooden dwellings reveal a unique landscape tied to the rhythm of Tonle Sap Lake. You will also visit a local pagoda built on a former religious site and discover its magnificent mural paintings. A visit to a village home will help you better understand the fishermen's way of life and local traditions.

1Morning 08:00 Phnom KulenDeparture at 8:00 AM from your hotel for Phnom Kulen, a sacred mountain considered the birthplace of the ancient Khmer Empire in 802. After about 1.5 hours on the road, discover the River of a Thousand Lingas, an exceptional spiritual site with ancient carvings engraved directly into the riverbed over about 247 meters. Continue to the pagoda at the top of the mountain to admire the Great Reclining Buddha, one of the most important religious sites in the region. You will end this beautiful day discovering the Phnom Kulen waterfall, where you can enjoy a relaxing moment and even swim in a magnificent natural setting.

2Afternoon 14:00 Visit to local artisans.On the way back to Siem Reap, stop to discover the traditional production of palm sugar and authentic life in the Cambodian countryside.
