Day 1 Angkor Thom & Angkor Wat – Discovering the Grandeur of the Khmer Empire

    Morning 08:00 Bayon Temple

    Your journey begins with one of Cambodia's greatest symbols: the Angkor complex, former capital of the Khmer Empire. You begin with Angkor Thom, the "Great City" built in the 12th century by King Jayavarman VII. Pass through the majestic South Gate of Angkor Thom, decorated with statues depicting the famous myth of the Churning of the Ocean of Milk. Then discover the mysterious Bayon temple, famous for its many towers adorned with smiling faces that seem to have watched over visitors for centuries. Continue with the Baphuon, a former temple-mountain dedicated to Hinduism, then explore the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, two important sites of the ancient royal city where royal ceremonies took place.

    In the afternoon, discover the magnificent Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world and masterpiece of Khmer architecture. Admire its impressive bas-reliefs telling ancient legends and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to your hotel in Siem Reap and free time.
Day 2 Banteay Srei & Ta Prohm – Between Khmer Art and Temples Overtaken by Nature

    Morning 08:00 Banteay Srei
    This day takes you through the beautiful Siem Reap countryside, where you will discover a more authentic Cambodia, with its traditional villages, rice paddies, and famous sugar palm trees. Along the way, stop at Pradak village, known for the artisanal production of palm sugar (Thnot), a Cambodian specialty passed down through generations. Discover the daily life of the inhabitants and enjoy a glimpse of local rural life. Continue to Banteay Srei, nicknamed the "Citadel of the Women." This small 10th-century temple is considered a jewel of Khmer art thanks to its extremely fine carvings made from pink sandstone. Its delicate details tell the history and spirituality of the ancient kingdom.

    In the afternoon, visit Banteay Samre, a peaceful temple inspired by the style of Angkor Wat, then continue to the famous Ta Prohm, made world-famous by its huge tropical trees whose roots envelop the ancient stones. This fascinating blend of architecture and nature creates a unique atmosphere, like a forgotten temple deep in the jungle. Return and overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 3 Beng Mealea & Roluos – The Forgotten Temples in the Heart of the Jungle

    Set off on an off-the-beaten-path adventure to Beng Mealea, one of the most mysterious temples in the Angkor region. Built in the early 12th century, about 30 years before Angkor Wat, this temple impresses with its architecture and wild atmosphere. Today overtaken by the jungle, Beng Mealea offers a true sense of exploration, with its collapsed galleries, ancient stones, and trees gradually reclaiming the site. This fascinating site also served as a filming location for the movie Two Brothers by Jean-Jacques Annaud.

    On the way back to Siem Reap, discover the Roluos Group, considered one of the earliest major temple complexes of the Khmer Empire. Visit Lolei, Preah Ko, and the majestic Bakong, a pyramid-temple representing Mount Meru, the symbolic center of the universe in Hindu tradition. Return to the hotel and overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 4 Phnom Kulen & Kampong Phluk – Sacred Mountain and Life on Tonle Sap

    Your final day takes you to Phnom Kulen National Park, a site steeped in history and spirituality considered the birthplace of the ancient Khmer Empire. This sacred mountain offers an exceptional blend of nature, culture, and local beliefs. Discover the magnificent Phnom Kulen waterfall, enjoy the coolness of this natural site, and visit the famous giant reclining Buddha carved into the rock, an important pilgrimage site for Cambodians. Continue your walk along the sacred river where the Thousand Lingas are found, ancient carvings engraved directly into the riverbed, symbolizing the fertility and spiritual protection of the kingdom.

    In the afternoon, set off to discover Kampong Phluk, an authentic fishing village located on the shores of Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. Board a roughly 2-hour cruise through the stilt houses and observe the unique way of life of the inhabitants, living to the rhythm of the seasons and the lake's waters.
